Workshop: Meditative Creation based on Mindfulness
The goal of this half-day workshop is to introduce the practice of mindfulness through creative expression. It is important to note that this is not an art therapy workshop. We will begin with a breathing anchoring meditation, followed by an exercise in which we will consciously select materials, inspired by the raisin meditation. Throughout the workshop, we will review the fundamental attitudes of mindfulness and how to apply them in our creative project: making a box that will include cards and a notebook or journal to support the practice of mindfulness. Additionally, we will address the importance of compassion toward ourselves and others, and will include a metta meditation, body scan, and group reflection. There will be a tea break and short breaks to stretch and move your body consciously. In order to ensure a safe and supportive environment, groups are limited to a maximum of four participants. This workshop does not require prior experience in Mindfulness or Meditative Creation.
